onthestrand: A year ago we published 19 Penguin Essentials – seminal books with new, contemporary covers to remind us why we loved them when they were first published - and ever since. At the beginning of April we are publishing another 11 Essentials to round out at an even 30 titles. To celebrate we’re going to countdown with a beautiful cover a day, starting with Kerouac’s On the Road. Artist: Stephen Shore Stephen Shore is an American photographer who is known for his pioneering use of colour in art photography.

New post - My Yorkshire sketchbook (and had a teeny facelift to the blog’s look i.e. I put in a temporary banner!)
New blog beginnings in the form of A Boy and a Bookshelf. I wanted to start a new blog to accompany my current studies. My work and ambition seems to be heavily directed towards the book industry at the moment, so a blog that is instigated from the books on my shelf seemed like a good place to start.  Check it out!
Putting together the last touches to my Introduction Presentation at RCA and including an image of my London bookshelf in it. I don’t go anywhere without at least one of my Nigel Slater cookbooks- essentials in life. Fact.
